A group of police officers raided the cell of an inmate at the Piura prison and an alleged member of the criminal gang “Los Pulpos”because, from said establishment, he had extorted a woman, whom he forced to deposit S/10,000 through the Yape application that was in the name of his sister, who was detained in the city of Piura.
It was police personnel from the Divincri Kidnapping and Extortion Section who managed to intervene yesterday afternoon with 39-year-old JMLA in the Ciudad del Sol settlement, in the Twenty-sixth of October district, because through the Yape application assigned to his sister’s cell phone, they had deposited 10,000 soles as a result of extortion.
This after criminals from the “Los Pulpos” gang had been intimidating her so as not to attack her life or that of her family members, and the injured party agreed to the request, depositing the money with them.
During the intervention they found a mobile device, a payment voucher and other spices on the woman, so she was taken to the Divincri headquarters.

But in circumstances that the female was transferred to the specialized unit of the PNP in this town, she confessed to the agents that her 34-year-old brother VHCA, who is being held in the Piura prison, had consulted her about a deposit in its Yape application.
Given this, the Divincri police officers proceeded to intervene on the aforementioned inmate in said Piura prison, in cell 6 of right wing D, where he is serving a measure.
When searching his cell, they found different notes and agendas for different cell phone numbers, in one of them they found the number of the incriminated mobile device.
Likewise, police authorities found ID numbers and numbers of different bank accounts of various people.
