Infonacot plans to place more than 901 million pesos in Querétaro

Queretaro, Qro. During this year, the Institute of the National Fund for the Consumption of Workers (infonacot) projects to place more than 901.1 million pesos in the state, a figure that experiences an increase of 9.4% at an annual rate.

The director of the institute in Queretaro, Elsa García Carrillo, explained that only in the first two months of the year, 136 million pesos have been placed, through 5,931 credits; The placement of this period, she explained, represents a compliance of 117.3% with respect to what was foreseen for this period.

Throughout 2022, the institute placed in the entity about 823.5 million pesos, through 34,112 credits; for that year the goal was 702.5 million pesos, a figure that was exceeded by 117.23 percent. The state director explained that the average ticket in Queretaro round at 24,114 pesos.

Between the placement of 2022, 14,132 credits were granted to women, representing an economic benefit of 299.4 million pesos.

In this context, the infonacot launched the new credit facilities for women in the state, which consist of eliminating the commission for opening as of March 8.

The state director specified that within the framework of International Women’s Day, the board of directors of Infonacot approved this measure, which was already applied only in the southern region of the country. With this new determination, the collection of the commission for opening the credit, which was 2 percent, is eliminated.

It is a measure of the federal government to reduce the gender gap and to promote the financial inclusion of working women, through financing mechanisms in better conditions, in the same way it is a recognition that the Fonacot Institute makes through a financial product directed especially to women, to their responsibility that they have shown”, he exposed.

This credit product for women offers preferential rates that vary from 8.9% to 16.2%; He added that a substantially lower cost is provided than that offered by any other financing in the market.

This type of credit, he explained, is usually directed to the purchase of technological items, as well as in education issues, purchase of school supplies, tuition fees, uniforms, among others.

“Also for housing equipment, for adaptation and remodeling of housing also some women, citizens who use it to pay previously acquired debts because when comparing these financial costs they realize that it is more convenient to carry it this way,” he explained.

In this sense, he said that credits of up to four times the worker’s monthly salary are granted; and the resource can be made available the same day the credit is authorized.
