The National Institute of Statistics (INE) reported this Thursday that inflation showed a monthly variation of 1.78, an annual variation of 1.78% and an interannual variation (the last 12 months) of 8.15%.
This is how inflation is located by item, according to the data collected by the INE:
FOOD AND NON-ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES: 1.30%
Bread and cereals: 1.70%. The increases in Pan flute (2.21%) and Pan
porteño (2.37%), wheat flour (5.33%) and noodles (3.37%).
Meat: -0.42%. The drop in the prices of poultry meat (-2.66%) and
Sheep meat (-7.83%).
Fruit: 2.67%. It is explained by the increase in the prices of Limón (22.54%) and
Peach (16.58%) and drop in the price of Banana (-1.73%).
Legumes and Vegetables: 8.45%. It is explained by the increase in the prices of
Chard (7.71%), Lettuce (19.31%), Zucchini (33.36%), Tomato (16.26%),
Carrot (11.11%), Onion (14.90%), Pumpkin (8.63%) and Bell Pepper (20.05%).
Sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and sugar candies: 1.11%. explained
basically due to the increase in the price of sugar (2.37%).
Coffee, tea and cocoa: 1.29%. The increase in coffee prices stands out
instant (4.28%) and filter coffee (9.04%).
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, TOBACCO AND NARCOTIC DRUGS: 3.77%.
It is mainly explained by increases in the prices of Cigarettes (5.22%) and
Tobacco (6.74%).
HOUSING: 6.72%
It is explained by increases in the prices of Tap water (6.00%), Taxes
domiciliary (1.66%), Common expenses (4.11%), Electricity (21.38%) and Gas for
network (10.16%).
HEALTH: 2.69%
It is explained by the increase in the prices of the private hospitalization service (3.65%),
Private mutual quota (5.31%), Medication tickets (2.58%), Orders
mutual medical services (2.89%), mobile medical emergency (2.84%) and services
comprehensive private medicine (3.76%).
