The General Price Index-Internal Availability (IGP-DI) had an inflation of 1.50% in February this year, a lower rate than last January (2.01%) and February 2021 (2.71%). The information was released today (8), in Rio de Janeiro, by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV).
With the result, the indicator registers inflation of 3.55% in the year. In 12 months, the accumulated reaches 15.35%, below the 29.95% registered in 12 months in February 2021.
The fall from January to February was driven by three sub-indices that make up the IGP-DI. Inflation of the Broad Producer Price Index (IPA), which measures wholesale, fell from 2.57% in January to 1.94%.
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) changed from 0.49% in January to 0.28% in February. The inflation of the National Construction Cost Index (INCC) dropped from 0.71% to 0.38%.
