In November, the Consumer Price Index in Metropolitan Lima advanced 0.09%, which accumulates a variation of 1.86% so far this year, and an annualized rate of 2.27%, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI). With this result, the inflation remains within the target range of the Central Reserve Bank (between 1% and 3%).

The sector with the greatest impact on the result was accommodation, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, which registered an increase of 0.47% in the penultimate month of the year. Here an increase was observed mainly in domestic propane gas by 2.8%.
Another item that registered an increase in prices was restaurants and hotels with 0.11%, due to the increase in a la carte dishes such as arroz chaufa, chicharrón de chancho, pastas and tamales. In restaurants, an increase in the price of beer served was also observed.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages presented a variation of 0.03% due to higher prices of fish and seafood, ají rocoto and fruits. However, a reduction in the cost of colored potatoes, yellow sweet potatoes, whole garlic, cauliflower, corn, among others, was recorded.
The items of clothing and footwear (0.03%), recreation and culture (0.42%), education (0.08%), various goods and services (0.26%), alcoholic beverages, tobacco and narcotics (0.07%) also registered an increase. , and furniture, household items and home maintenance items (0.1%).
In the transportation sector, meanwhile, a decrease of 0.18% was observed, given the lower prices of fuels for vehicles such as diesel oil and gasohol. A reduction was also observed in national and international air tickets.
