Thousands of people benefited from Inespre’s combo sales in supermarkets, held from Thursday 18 to Sunday 21 August for the Restoration week.
Inespre sold 500-peso combos made up of 10 pounds of select rice, a two-pound salami, two 125-gram sardines, a 16-ounce oil and 12 units of eggs.
The 1,000-peso combo was also marketed, containing an average 3.5-pound whole frozen chicken, 10 pounds of select rice, 800-gram pinto beans, 16-ounce oil, 30-unit egg carton, two-pound salami, 400 grams, 16 ounce tomato paste and 125 gram sardines.
These offers were available nationwide in 158 supermarkets from large chains such as El Nacional, Jumbo, Plaza Lama, Carrefour, La Sirena, Aprezio, Hipermercado Iberia, Olé, La Fuente, El Encanto, Garrido, Zaglul and Agrofem.
» The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, in his speech on August 16 in Santiago, announced the expansion of low-cost food sales through the different Inespre programs at the national level, with the aim of facilitating the access of food at fair prices to the population of different social classes and we succeeded in doing so, we immediately adopted measures to comply with its announcement and extended for four days the program “Purchase at Inespre Prices in the Supermarket” for this week, which we qualify as successful since it was used by thousands of people”, informed Iván Hernández Guzmán, director of the entity.
Several Dominican influencers joined this day of dissemination of special sales.
Other programs
The state entity plans to expand the other institutional programs soon, according to the official.
Currently, the organization carries out 150 mobile warehouses daily and 85 farmers’ markets nationwide on Wednesdays and Saturdays in the 32 provinces of the country; while on Thursdays it sells combos of 500 and 100 pesos in supermarkets.
