The National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep) reported today (4) that 112 teachers were included in the Bank of Evaluators of the National System of Evaluation of Higher Education (BASis). THE inclusion was published in the Official Gazette of the Union (DOU).
The professors will work in the face-to-face and virtual evaluation of undergraduate courses and higher education institutions, one of Inep’s attributions. Since the publication of the selection notice, 345 teachers have been included in the national bank of evaluators.
In April 2021, due to the covid-19 pandemic, Inep began the virtual and face-to-face evaluation of the quality of university courses. Previously, the procedure was only done in person.
According to the institute, academic and technical rigor was maintained in the new modality. The face-to-face assessment was maintained only in the courses of medicine, dentistry, nursing and psychology.
Last year, the Ministry of Education (MEC) registered creation record 600 thousand vacancies in higher education. According to the folder, 436.3 thousand went to distance courses and 159.8 thousand to on-site courses, the highest number between 2015 and 2021.
