The official launch of Census 2025 will be on February 3, with the signing of an agreement between the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) and the Regional Government of Junín (GRJ). As explained by INEI Junín, Jhon Zumaeta, the census is expected to run between August and October of this year, using tablets to perform the census digitally.
Since the last census was in 2017, it should be 10 years later, but it will be advanced by migration and pandemic that affected the country.
More than 40,000 professionals will be required nationwide, prioritizing the inclusion of native languages.
“This census will be essential to make public policies decisions and improve the quality of life of Peruvians,” The regional representative said.
