National censuses 2025 in Peru already register more than one and a half million censored homes, the head of INEI, Gaspar Morán reported.
The head of the INEI, said in RPP That the objective is to reach 14 million housing censored throughout the country, in three stages of collection during August, September and October, with intensive use of electronic devices to expedite the process.
The census questionnaire consists of 67 questions, organized in five thematic blocks. These include housing and their georeferenced location, construction materials and access to basic services; Home information as water and electricity supply; Data from members, as number of people and family structure, highlighting a significant reduction in the country’s birth rate.
The latest blocks address issues of education, health, employment, migration and disability, with specific questions to better classify and treat people with different degrees of disability. Morán also stressed that only one person for housing must answer the questionnaire and that the information is confidential and destined only for statistical and public planning uses.
