The National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) published this Friday, July 1, the monthly and accumulated variation experienced by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in the month of June at the national level and in Metropolitan Lima.
The Technical Report indicates that in the month of June consumer prices at the level of Metropolitan Lima increased by 1.19%, accumulating a rise of 4.44% in the six months of the year; while, at the national level, it increased by 1.03%, registering from January to June an accumulated variation of 4.60%.

In addition, according to Headquarters Resolution No. 132-2022, The publication of the Monthly Bulletin of Price Indicators of the Economy was authorized, which contains the official information of the CPI at the national level and of Metropolitan Lima for this month and the methodology of this indicator.
It is worth mentioning that the INEI is in charge of disseminating this information on the first working day of the month following the corresponding one and as a legal norm, the monthly variation experienced by the Consumer Price Index.
In this sense, the members of the Special Commission, made up of three representatives of the Central Bank, the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics, are in charge of establishing a methodology to build a statistically reliable indicator for measuring of the CPI.
