INEA lifts suspension of sailing in eight states, but maintains it in the west

The suspension of departure came into force on October 5 in a context of significant rainfall that occurred while Tropical Wave 41 crossed the country


The National Institute of Aquatic Spaces (INEA) reported this Friday that the suspension of the departure of small boats for fishing, recreation, sports and passage in eight states of the country was lifted, a measure that had been taken as a precaution before the passage of the tropical wave 41.

The states from which the ban was withdrawn were Carabobo, Aragua, Vargas, Miranda, Anzoátegui, Sucre, Nueva Esparta and Delta Amacuro, in addition to the insular territory and the eastern federal dependencies.

However, the measure is maintained in other territories as a precautionary mechanism against the passage of another meteorological phenomenon, Tropical Depression 13. In this sense, the ban will continue to be applied in Trujillo, Zulia, Falcón and in the western federal dependencies. .

However, it is expected that the ban due to the passage of Tropical Depression 13 will not extend for too long, since the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (Inameh) reported that this phenomenon has already left Venezuelan territory and is located west of Venezuela. the Guajira Peninsula.

According to the president of Inameh, Colonel José Pereira, the sky is clear in much of the country, although in Zulia, Falcón, Trujillo and Mérida a “fragmented cloudiness” will prevail.

The sailing ban came into force on October 5 in a context of significant rainfall that occurred while Tropical Wave 41 crossed the country. This means that for at least 24 hours, limitations were established for the transfer of vessels on the Venezuelan coast.
