Upon determining that it is illegal propaganda linked to the achievements and actions of the government in the prohibited period of the revocation of the presidential mandate, the Complaints and Denunciations Commission of the National Electoral Institute (INE) ordered to eliminate or modify the morning conference of March 21 with reason for the inauguration of Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA).
As a result of various complaints, the INE Commission declared the precautionary measure and preventive protection requested against the President of the Republic admissible for the alleged dissemination of government propaganda during a prohibited period, that is, during the revocation process.
He estimated that during the morning conference on March 21, 2022, visible on the portal of the Government of Mexico, he disseminated government activities, linked to the achievements and actions of the government, such as the opening and operation of the Felipe Ángeles International Airport, highlighting the coverage , investment and benefits that said work entails, which, in appearance of good law, could constitute government propaganda and is prohibited during the Mandate Revocation process.
It should be noted that the INE body had previously considered that the legislative interpretation criterion that was published on March 17 it is not applicable to the process of revocation of mandate because it began on February 4 of this year with the publication of the respective call. The above based on ruling SRE-PSC-33/2022 of the Specialized Regional Chamber of the Electoral Court of the Judicial Power of the Federation on March 18, which established that said interpretation decree does not apply to electoral processes that have already begun, so that even if said decree is in force, it does not result applicable to ongoing processes.
Therefore he ordered the Republic President, as well as the General Coordinator of Social Communication and Spokesperson of the Government of the Republic who, immediately, within a period that may not exceed three hours, carry out the actions, procedures and procedures necessary to eliminate the audio, audiovisual and/or or stenographic versions of the morning conference held on March 21 of the current year, or modify the aforementioned files so that the demonstrations made by the head of the Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, are suppressed; the Governor of the State of Mexico, Alfredo del Mazo Maza; the Secretary of National Defense, Luis Cresencio Sandoval González; the General Resident Engineer and Commander of the Felipe Ángeles Engineering Group, Gustavo Ricardo Vallejo Suárez; and the General Director of the Felipe Ángeles International Airport, Isidoro Pastor Román.
INE dictates precautionary measures against Morena and its national president
