INE INE IN judging with a gender perspective to Veracruz accused of sexual harassment

With seven votes against and four in favor, the General Council of the National Electoral Institute (INE) rejected the project that proposed not to remove the position of Quintín Antarganes Escandón, counselor of the Electoral Public Organization (OPLE) of Veracruz, accused by a subaltern of sexual harassment and work.

The opponents of that approach said that the project was not prepared with a gender perspective, because they demand that the accuser to prove her sayings as if the people were with a hidden camera or for the fact that there were 10 correct interactions by WhatsApp would be annulled the possibility, only for that reason, that there was an incorrect one.

The complainant indicated that the counselor Dovarganes made him indecorous proposals, but he defended himself with videos that at the discretion of some INE counselors are not sufficient evidence.
