The National Electoral Institute (INE) currently has nine projects in the field of real estate infrastructure, including the remodeling and renovation
of its central offices, a task for which 159.7 million pesos have been approved.
This amount is equivalent to 46 percent of the total Real Estate Infrastructure Program 2022-2023, which amounts to 341.7 million pesos, according to documents from the institute.
The arrangement of the central offices – where the members of the general council office, for example – means the largest amount of the nine projects, above the amount of 127.5 million authorized for the construction of the INE-Aguascalientes building. The planning occurred in a scenario of cuts to the electoral referee, after the Chamber of Deputies reduced him, for the current year, 4 thousand 913 million, compared to his request of 18 thousand 827 million.
The agreement of the Executive General Meeting of November 4 explains the background and reasons why money had to be disposed of in a trust.
The INE Real Estate Infrastructure Program 2021-2023 is dynamic due to the prevailing circumstances in the market and in each federal entity, for which the modifications will be periodically reported to this Board, which is why this program contemplates in this version the partial use of the resources located in the trust called Fund for the Compliance of the Real Estate Infrastructure Program and for Citizen Attention and Improvement of INE Modules, created for this purpose

He adds that an item of 294.7 million was not approved for the institute, precisely for spending on infrastructure, for which revisions and adjustments had to be made to avoid leaving works halfway.
In this way, the plan to complete the INE-Zacatecas building was defined; start with the construction of the corresponding building in Nuevo León, and remodel and renovate the Acoxpa property, among others.
At the point related to the Tlalpan Complex, it is planned to finalize the remodeling works in lobby and building B auditorium (whose cost was 6.4 million, according to contract INE/OP/02/2022).

For the Tlalpan Complex, the project was divided into six sections. In addition to the aforementioned lobbyan extension is managed, as well as works in common areas, and various activities in the main entrance, stairs, lobbies, council corridors, advisors and multipurpose room

At the origin of the project of this set (2020-2022) reference was made to the following works: adaptation of the Social Communication offices and two additional addresses; construction of an annex building for political parties (10 offices), pedestrian walkway and renovation of access booths, all with a estimated initial amount
of 60 million pesos.
