After contestants in the bidding process for the production of voting credentials complained about “elements to benefit a certain company,” the National Electoral Institute (INE) maintained that “this procedure is conducted under standards of maximum transparency, with collegiate bodies, minutes and justifications that document each decision.” He stressed that “the plural participation of companies and the public calendar of milestones shield the process from any speculation”; In addition, a social witness is counted at all stages. Last week, Counselor Carla Humphrey, president of the Federal Voter Registration Commission, expressed concern about the delay in the decision and referred to complaints from some participants about bias. The electoral body explained the process yesterday in a statement, and indicated that after knowing the proposals, on November 20, the credential samples are evaluated together with the UNAM, towards the ruling to be issued on December 10.
