Due to the increase in the price of meat and rice, the monthly variation of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for November was positive and reached 1.45% compared to October, with which the accumulated variation reached 8.82%, the National Institute of Statistics (INE) reported this Friday.
According to the INE, in the country, 12-month inflation is 9.51%. While the accumulated in the year, 8.82%. And the monthly rate, in November, of 1.45%.
The price increase of 1.45% in the CPI for November 2024 is mainly explained, according to the INE, by the positive price variation in: food and non-alcoholic beverages; food and beverages consumed outside the home; various goods and services; transport; alcoholic beverages and tobacco; furniture, household goods and services; health; clothing and footwear; housing and basic services; recreation and culture; and communications.
The report also points out that products with greater positive impact, or price increase, were: the beef boneless, beef with bone, lunch, rice, interdepartmental transportation by bus/fleet and grilled/grilled chicken. On the contrary, the goods with the greatest negative impact, or that they dropped in price, were: the chicken meat, cheese, locoto, tomato, avocado and eggs.
By regions
