The General Executive Board of the National Electoral Institute (INE) yesterday declared the PRD’s loss of registration, because it did not obtain at least 3 percent of the valid votes cast in the election of June 2.
The ruling that concludes this process must be passed by the General Council of the institute, which has scheduled the matter on its agenda for the 20th, which will conclude this issue related to the 2024 electoral process.
The Aztec sun obtained the highest vote in its favor in the election for deputies, with 2.43 percent of the total votes; which represent one million 449 thousand 660 votes of the more than 59 million. For senators it reached 2.27 percent, with 1.3 million votes, and in the presidential election it could not even reach 2 percent, since only 1.8 percent of the more than 60 million Mexicans who voted favored it.
With this declaration, the PRD has 72 hours to allege what is appropriate
so that after what is delivered the draft opinion is prepared to be in a position to submit it to the General Council
for approval, was read at yesterday’s extraordinary session of the Executive General Board.
They change parties
In the midst of this process, the two senators that the PRD obtained in the 66th Legislature did not last even 24 hours in the party that nominated them, because after the installation of the upper house, Morena announced that they were joining the 4T, thus nullifying the presence of the PRD in the legislative body.
