Industrial activity in Mexico stagnated in November 2022

Within the indicator, a monthly drop was observed in mining and manufacturing industries, of 0.5% in both cases. While construction advanced 0.7% and the generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy, water and gas supply through pipelines to the final consumer rose 0.4%.

At an annual rate and with seasonally adjusted series, the IMAI increased 2.9% in real terms last November. By sector of economic activity, generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy, supply of water and gas through pipelines to the final consumer rose 5.5%; Manufacturing industries, 4.5%; Construction, 0.8% and Mining decreased 0.5 percent.

Manufacturing industries have been gradually falling back from their best level of the year, achieved in July, when they grew at a monthly rate of 1.5%.
