The new rooms will be enabled in the Correction and Rehabilitation Centers Rafey Mujeres (Santiago), La Isleta (Moca), El Pinito (La Vega), Baní Mujeres, Najayo Mujeres and La Romana, as stipulated in the agreement signed by Guido Gómez Mazarapresident of the Board of Directors of Indotel, and Roberto Santana Sánchez, director of Onaprep.
Gómez Mazara highlighted that the project not only incorporates technology, but also a human and recreational component recommended by Onaprepwith the purpose of strengthening the mental health and well-being of the prison population under strict control protocols.

He also pointed out that both institutions have created links with national sports figures to promote discipline initiatives, physical health and harmonious coexistence within the enclosures.
The president of Indotel explained that the digital rooms will contribute to improving the efficiency of training programs, will reinforce security mechanisms and will allow supervised interaction between inmates, lawyers and family members.

For his part, Santana Sánchez highlighted that the incorporation of these rooms promotes the modernization of the penitentiary system, by facilitating the access to universities and technical training centers.
