Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (INDOMET) reported this Friday afternoon that weather conditions will continue to be influenced by a trough on the surface and the predominant wind from the east/northeast, which will favor the presence of cloudy weather accompanied by weak to moderate rains at times, isolated gusts of wind and possible thunderstorms in several provinces of the country.
According to the forecasting organization, These precipitations will be occurring intermittently and could extend until the early hours of the nightespecially affecting localities of La Altagracia, La Romana, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez, Espaillat, Puerto Plata, San Pedro de Macorís, Monte Plata, Gran Santo Domingo, San Cristóbal, Sánchez Ramírez, Monseñor Nouel, La Vega and Santiago, among others.
For tomorrow SaturdayINDOMET indicated that From morning hours there will be cloudy increases with passing showers in areas of La Altagracia, Hato Mayor, El Seibo, Monte Plata, La Romana, San Pedro de Macorís and Greater Santo Domingo, product of the interaction of a trough in the middle levels of the troposphere and the east/northeast wind.

In the afternoon, rain will be more frequent and slightly more intensewith possible isolated thunderstorms and gusts of wind, extending to provinces such as La Vega, Monseñor Nouel, San José de Ocoa, Sánchez Ramírez, San Cristóbal, Azua, Barahona and Pedernales, as well as nearby communities.
The authorities recommend that the population pay attention to official bulletins and take precautions against possible sudden floods of rivers, streams and ravines, as well as urban flooding in vulnerable areas.
