Santo Domingo.-The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (INDOMET) reported this Friday that downpours, electrical storms with gusts of wind will occur, especially in greater Santo Domingo and other provinces due to the effects of a trough.
The provinces where downpours will also occur will be Monseñor Nouel, La Vega, Peravia, San Cristóbal, Monte Plata, El Gran Santo Domingo, San José de Ocoa, San Pedro de Macorís, San Juan, Elías Piña, La Altagracia and Valverde.
Furthermore, for tomorrow, Saturday, an increase in humidity and instability is expected due to the passage of the active tropical wave and the presence of the trough.

For this reason, cloudy weather will occur from early morning hours accompanied by moderate to heavy downpours and thunderstorms.
For Sunday, the humidity and instability generated by the incidence of the active tropical wave, in addition to the effects of troughs at various levels of the troposphere, will maintain partly cloudy conditions over a large part of the island, with frequent episodes of heavy downpours, thunderstorms and gusts of wind.
