Santo Domingo.-This Sunday, the beginning of March, the occurrence of downpours in at least 23 provinces due to the effects of a trough over the country, reported the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet).
In that sense, the entity forecasts scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms from the early hours of the day towards the towns of La Altagracia, San Pedro de Macorís, La Romana, San Cristóbal and Greater Santo Domingo, which will continue to spread during the morning towards surrounding areas such as Peravia, Azua, Barahona and Pedernales.
Indomet specified that in the afternoon, downpours accompanied by isolated thunderstorms and possible gusts of wind are expected over Monte Plata, Sánchez Ramírez, Duarte, La Vega, Monseñor Nouel, Santiago, Espaillat, Puerto Plata, San Juan, Dajabón, Elías Piña, Azua, San José de Ocoa, Independencia and Bahoruco.
