Independiente Petrolero surprised Wilstermann and he beat him at his own home 0-1, this Saturday night, at the Félix Capriles stadium in Cochabamba. With this result, the people of the capital climbed three places and are now in eleventh place, while the aviators were at the bottom of the standings.

The match began with controversy, because just one minute and 44 seconds after the initial whistle the referee from Tarija Jorge Justiniano charged a penalty in favor of the visiting team, for an alleged foul by Franco Martínez on Rodrigo Gómez.

The central judge resorted to VAR to correct his decision, which was applauded by the Cochabamba public and at the same time there were long faces among the people of Independiente Petrolero.

But the sadness did not last long for the Chuquisaqueño team because after 11 minutes they celebrated the 0-1, which came through Mauricio Arroyo. The sub-20 received a pass on the front line from the big area and defined with a powerful shot at ground level, which passed between the legs of goalkeeper Arnaldo Giménez.

The goal is the first that Arroyo converts as a professional soccer player and celebrated with euphoria together with Thomaz Santos who was in charge of providing the assistance.

After the goal, heThose led by Cristian Díaz turned to attack with more desire and will than arguments. Both teams did not give up being offensive, although they generated few arrivals with real danger of scoring.

In the complementary stage ‘Inde’ converted the second goal through Alejandro Bejarano (63′) after another assist from Thomaz Santos, but the goal was annulled after the maneuver was analyzed by VAR and there a hand from Bejarano was evident when he started the play in midfield.

Independiente could not be directed from the bench by his DT Álvaro Peña, who is expelledbut he gave some instructions from the moment he entered the locker room.

Things got complicated for the Chuquisaqueño team, because in minute 69 he was left with ten players due to the expulsion, with a direct red card, of Víctor Hugo Melgar, who had entered 18 minutes earlier in Arroyo’s place.

From that moment the visitors were more careful to attack and they held out until the final whistle from the referee, which occurred in minute 100, to take the three units.
