The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, activated the Independence Plan 200 in the Comprehensive Defense Zones (Zodi) of the states of Nueva Esparta, Sucre and Delta Amacuro, through the popular – military – police fusion, where 27 command, control and communication actions in the territory will be checked.
Through his Telegram account he reported that preparation for prolonged active and creative popular resistance will be combined, as well as the permanent offensive, taking initiative in all fields and in all areas.
“The entire military force of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Fanb) deployed in the check of all tasks together with the political authorities, legitimate civilians of the country, the states, the municipalities and our powerful popular movement,” said the president.
Finally, he indicated that he is fine-tuning the machinery to win peaceexercise sovereignty fully and defend the right to life.
Maduro specified on the night of this Monday, October 13, that this activity will be carried out until the 27 tasks “that are being perfected on the ground so that Venezuela is prepared to continue winning peace, exercising its sovereignty with independence and gaining the right to life and the joy that assists us,” are completed, by state, by Comprehensive Defense Zone, which are the 27 tasks that await us.
He highlighted that it is a strategic corridor for defense integral part of the homeland, which extends from the Caribbean Sea to the Orinoco and south of the border with Brazil

The Management Bodies for the Comprehensive Defense of the nation (ODDI) in Nueva Esparta, Sucre and Delta Amacuro join those already activated in La Guaira, Zulia, Anzoátegui, Monagas, Bolívar, Carabobo, Aragua and Falcón.
«Strengthen combative morale»
In Nueva Esparta, Admiral José Hernández Abchi, commander of the Comprehensive Maritime and Island Defense Region (Redimain), stated that the objective of the operation is “to strengthen the combative morale and the operational resistance and offensive capacity of the nation.”
For his part, Admiral Carlos Luque Solórzano, commander of Zodi 71, explained that the plan includes a territorial defensive system that includes: the deconcentration and preservation of military units stationed in the entity; assurance and protection of airports and ports; control of approach routes and critical points; guarantee of the functioning of basic services and protection of strategic state companies.
