The Commission of the Indecopi Regional Office in Cusco, in the second administrative instance, confirmed the sanction of 10.2 UIT, equivalent to S/ 52,530, imposed on the company Real Plaza SRL for not providing a response to two complaints presented by a consumer, as as required by the Consumer Protection and Defense Code.

According to the investigations carried out, it was concluded that this supplier violated Article 24.1 of the Code, which establishes that suppliers are obliged to address complaints submitted by their consumers and respond to them within a period of no more than fifteen business days, which cannot be extended.
“In that sense, Real Plaza SRL committed said misconduct on two occasions, by not responding to the same number of claims presented by the affected party after not receiving a product purchased online,” Indecopi Cusco cited in a statement.
In this way, the Commission confirmed what was resolved in the first instance by the Resolution Body for Summary Consumer Protection Procedures attached to the Indecopi Regional Office of Cusco.
