The document indicates that in the detention centers of the National Criminal System: Jorge Navarro “La Modelo”, La Esperanza, Waswalí in Matagalpa, Chinandega, Chontales, Estelí and Granada, reports of ill-treatment, cruel, inhuman, degrading, unhealthy and lack of medical care for political prisoners.

“Of the 30 people detained in the “El Chipote” Judicial Assistance Directorate, 27 were convicted. Of the total of 171 political prisoners in the context of April 2018, 126 are in the different centers of the National Penitentiary System, 30 in the Directorate of Judicial Assistance (DAJ) known as “El Chipote”, in Managua.
