In 2023, the value of the Tributary Tax Unit (ITU) will be S/4,950, an amount S/350 higher than that set for this year, as established in DS 309-2022-EF.
Labor Ricardo Herrera said that this increase would respond to the increase in inflation, which, according to analysts, would be higher than 8% at the end of this year.
“The increase favors fifth-class workers so that they pay less taxes. Companies are also going to be able to deduct more”, he assured this newspaper.
Meanwhile, the professor of the Pacífico Business School, Jorge Carrillo, explained that the companies that belong to the Mype Tax Regime will have savings.
“The Income Tax rate is 10% for the first 15 UIT and 29.5% above this amount. Therefore, with the increase of the UIT, the companies that are in this regime will save about S / 1,024 of annual taxes ”, he added.
With this change, less property tax will be paid, explained the professor, since the amount is calculated based on the value of the UIT. It also has an impact so that there is a lower payment of the alcabala.
