The President of the Republic, Yamandú Orsi, announced through his X account, that he returns to the Government of the Broad Front, not grant advances but increase to the passivities.
“The increase agreed with the ONAJPU (National Organization of Retirees and Pensioners) is 2% for this year and will be complemented with an additional 1% increase in July 2026,” he says in X.
Retirees and pensioners will charge the increase of July in August because it is charged back.
“Unlike previous years, the announced increases are permanent and not an advance to discount from the January settings. The measure benefits an approximate number of 140 thousand people.”
At 17 hours there will be a meeting in the executive tower between ministers Juan Castillo and Gabriel Oddone, and the Onajpu that asks for a 3% increase and not 2%.
