This Monday, August 12, Colombia begins the deadline for filing income tax returns for individuals, a period that will last until October of this year.
(You may be interested in: Income tax return: this is the fine you have to pay if you do not file it on time).
According to the tax calendar defined by the Dian, the season will begin “from the seventh business day in August to the seventeenth business day in October”.
That is to say, Natural persons will have to file their income tax return between August 12 and October 24, 2024, according to the last two digits of your ID or NIT.
(We also recommend: Utility bills will arrive in digital format from August).
If you have to file and you still don’t know the date to do so, you should know that this year the order of deadlines has changed and taxpayers whose tax identification number (NIT) that appears on the RUT ends in 01 and 02 will start filing. This normally corresponds to the last two digits of the ID.
