Clashes on the front of the University of Santiago have been experienced this Monday, between students and Carabineros. Due to this, the traffic in the vicinity of the house of studies had to be cut off.
Captain Leonardo Aguilar, from the 21 Central Station Police Station, told radio biobiothat “between fifteen to twenty students from the University of Santiago come out cutting off vehicular traffic, obstructing it with tables.”

In addition, there was the launch of Molotov cocktails and blunt elements, as stated by Aguilar “when COP (Public Order Control) personnel arrive at the place to enable vehicular traffic, they are attacked with blunt elements and Molotov cocktails.”
The events were specifically, in the Alameda towards the west, between Matucana street and Víctor Jara.
