A new Monday with incidents in the surroundings of different emblematic high schools in Santiago has marked the day. In Providencia, three officials were reported injured, while in front of the Quinta Normal park they set fire to three vehicles and in San Diego they tried to burn a Transantiago bus.

These events join the latest incidents that have been recorded in the center of Santiago, where last week a student from the Application Liceo was detained and provisionally hospitalized for the crime of arson, after the burning of a bus from the Red Of transport.

At the José Victorino Lastarria High School in the Providencia district, workers reported that a student activated a fire extinguisher in the school inspectorate, leaving three education assistants injured.

According to police information reported to the same media outlet, hooded men threw a Molotov cocktail at a bus from the Red de Transporte system, but the rapid action of the water-spouting car prevented the machine from catching fire. The driver was unharmed in the incident.

While outside the Barros Arana National Boarding School, on the border between the communes of Santiago and Quinta Normal, hooded men set fire to a van, two motorcycles and a bicycle on Santo Domingo street.

The affected vehicles belong to the security and maintenance work of the Quinta Normal park, which is adjacent to the educational establishment. Two workers were injured in this event, one with a blow to the head and the other with a cut on one of his hands.

Lieutenant Colonel Juan Morales indicated that about 70 people left the INBA, some dressed in the famous white overalls, who entered the park to attack the personnel working inside. They also pointed out that blunt objects were thrown at the Army Engineers Command building, located next to the park.
