Activities are carried out in Cerro Largo and outside the department as well
According to the information that was sent to the Departmental Directorate THE DIARY PROFESSIONAL, The summer activities promoted by the Institute for Children and Adolescents of Uruguay (INAU) will make it possible for more than a hundred girls, boys and adolescents (NNA) who attend or are part of official centers, to participate in recreational and educational outings, visiting different tourist spots at the departmental and national level.
Among the planned destinations are the Laguna Merín spa, Plácido Rosas, Playa de Fraile Muerto, Salto de Agua in Cerro Chato (Treinta y Tres), as well as other departments of the country such as Canelones, Maldonado and Montevideo.
The communication establishes that, in this framework, these days, adolescents from the Hogar Femenino El Trébol are visiting various tourist spots in the departments of Maldonado and Canelones as part of an experience aimed at integration, enjoyment and coexistence.
This proposal includes a stay at INAU’s Araucaria Camp located in the La Floresta resort.
It is a Camp that operates throughout the year as a recreational center for girls, boys and adolescents who make up the INAU System.
In this center, sports, recreational and integration activities are carried out in a natural environment very close to the beach, also having camping facilities, a dining room and large green areas.
The Departmental Directorate of INAU of Cerro Largo not only highlights, but also supports these types of initiatives as they promote the right to enjoyment, recreation and the comprehensive development of girls, boys and adolescents, strengthening ties, coexistence and social inclusion.
