The video went viral in the last hours and shows a group of children from Paysandú sing a feminist song in repudiation of crime of Giuliana Lara, 27, and her son Mateo, 8who had been missing since last Monday and were found dead this Friday.
“And the macho tremble, and tremble, and tremble, Latin America is going to be all feminist,” the children are heard singing, led by a woman dressed in black. The minors carried banners with phrases such as “Always with us” and “Justice for Giuliana and Mateo.” The demonstration took place on Friday, outside the court where he was declaring the main suspect of the crime: the brother of the woman who was found dead, uncle of the boy.
This Saturday, the senator and leader of Cabildo Abierto, Guido Manini Rios, criticized a video. “The double crime in Paysandú is sad and painful. Our solidarity with family, friends and colleagues of the victims is also sad and regrettable… But the use of children to promote a gender ideology that only causes division and hatred is also sad and regrettable!! “Manini wrote on his Twitter account, where he also shared a video of the Sanducera demonstration. Also the deputy of Cabildo Abierto Raúl Lozano expressed himself on the subject.
Using and indoctrinating children in hatred is a method typical of fascist and communist dictatorships.

Attendees at the march included Mateo’s soccer teammates and the Sanducera Children’s Soccer League and of the United Youth Club issued statements about it.
The children’s soccer league expressed “its forceful rejection to the attitude of a person, who in the march held on 2/3/2023, in honor of Giuliana and Mateoheld demonstrations and made children recite expressions that had nothing to do with the purpose of the call”. “The League was invited and gladly supported the march, but emphatically objects to any act or harangue that incites violence or generates sexist remarks or based on gender,” the statement added.
“Violence is violence, it has no sex,” said the United Youth Athletic Club.
The president of the Institute for Children and Adolescents of Uruguay (INAU), Pablo Abdala reported this Sunday through his Twitter account that “the demonstration will be analyzed” by virtue of the chants.
