Wellington Arnaud ponders the importance of training in drinking water and sanitation
The executive director of National Institute of Drinking Water and Sewage (Inapa), Wellington Arnaud, and the rector of the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), Reverend Father Cecilio Espinal Espinal, signed a collaboration agreement to develop training programs, applied research projects, and collaboration in the dissemination and awareness of water resources.
After signing the agreementArnaud explained that the Dominican Republic currently has a public policy on drinking water and sanitation directed by President Luis Abinader, which is developed within the framework of the Water Cabinet.
The official specified that since the country lacked this policy, Dominican society had been dragging a deficiency in all orders of the APS sector (drinking water and sanitation).
