INAMU asks the authorities for speed in investigations of femicides in Chiriquí

Given the acts of violence against women, registered in recent days in the Province of Chiriquí, Nellys Herrera Jiménez, General Director in Charge of the National Institute for Women (INAMU), formally requested the authorities of the Public Ministry of the province, speed and effectiveness in the investigation processes.

During her visit, Herrera stated that, as the National Women’s Institute, we are concerned, because it has been more than 7 days since the body of Estefany Rodriguez was found. She was cruelly murdered and it is evidently a hate crime, where we assume that there must have been other people involved and we know that the only person who is charged has to do with the issue specifically of deprivation of liberty, he pointed out

We have to talk at this time about the speed of the process, that is what the Public Ministry has to do, in the investigation process and we understand that the process has to take place in such a way that there is evidence so that these people can be put behind bars for the longest amount of time, but we also need speed in the process, affirmed the director of the entity.

Upon entering the Public Ministry of David, he called on the investigating authorities to detect the limitations and knots that impede the speed of the investigations, in order to then propose to the legislature the necessary changes, so that the victims and their relatives have justice.
