He National Training Institute and Teacher Training (Inafocam) announced that it will execute an institutional budget of RD$ 3,421,434,579 for the year 2026with the purpose of continuing to strengthen the quality of educational system nationally through extensive training programs and teacher training.
For the period 2026the institution projects impact 25,004 teachers in the area of Continuous Trainingincluding 19,004 teachers from the educational system pre-university, as well as 6,000 teachers of the Initial Literacy Program, reaffirming their commitment to the permanent professional development of teaching.
He allocated amount for continuous training is from RD$ 1,324.8 million, the institution highlighted in a press release.
In the area of Initial Trainingoriented towards a teaching career, the Inafocam It will benefit 200 high school graduates, who will receive support to pursue studies in education, thus contributing to the recruitment and preparation of new highly qualified professionals for the country’s classrooms.
For the initial training it is estimated a investment of RD$ 384 million. Likewise, in the component of Postgraduate Traininga total of 1,850 teachers will have the opportunity to specialize in various academic and pedagogical areas, strengthening their skills and raising the quality standards of the teaching-learning process, with an investment of RD$ 808 million.
The areas of prioritized training for 2026 include strengthening pedagogical skillscurricular updating, initial literacy, educational innovation, learning evaluation, pedagogical leadership and use of technologies applied to education, English, among other strategic lines aligned with the national educational policies.
