The National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC) announced the lifting of all sanitary restrictions and biosecurity protocols due to the covid-19 pandemic, for the entry of passengers into the national territory, mainly through national airports.
These regulations were established during the emergency caused by the arrival of the covid-19 pandemic in the country, in March 2020, indicated a press release from INAC.

The sanitary restrictions due to the pandemic were progressively relaxed until they were fully lifted by decree dated April 28, according to the Travel Center of the International Air Transport Association (IATA, for its acronym in English).

Venezuela was one of the first countries in Latin America to apply entry protocols to passengers from abroad, which included the presentation and performance of PCR tests at the Maiquetía international airport, strict use of masks, among other provisions.
Already in August 2022, according to a communication issued by the Venezuelan aeronautical authority, the registration and presentation of the Biosafety Traveler Pass had been eliminated in the process of entering the country.
