The National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (Inac) announced that the restrictions applied to international General Aviation flights are lifted. In this sense, through his personal Twitter account, the aeronautical lawyer Rodolfo Ruiz, a member of the international firm Clyde & Co, confirmed the measure, detailing that the decision refers to private, non-commercial flights.
For their part, the country’s aeronautical authorities have not ruled on the matter or published any official statement. Private, non-commercial General Aviation flights had been suspended since March 2020 due to the state of alarm for the covid-19 pandemic.

Among the bans that have been lifted is that it is no longer mandatory to take the PCR test to enter Venezuelan territory. In addition, commercial flights have also been free of this type of sanitary restrictions since November 2022.
For his part, Ruiz pointed out that, since January 25 of this year, Venezuela is “indirectly more connected with the United States.” This is because the Sky High airline began its daily flights to Santo Domingo, from Maiquetía. And in turn, these “connect with another daily frequency to Miami.”
