It is that since the residential was founded, every time it rains, the place turns into a lagoon because there is no runoff. Residents explained that they have sent letters and have made visits to the Mayor’s Office and nothing.
They said that when it rains a lot, people get trapped in their own houses and the place cannot pass through the large amount of water that accumulates at the intersection. Faced with so many unanswered requests from the authorities, the residents decided to collect 30,000 to 45,000 pesos to make a scupper.
They made a kind of water collector more than five feet deep by just over a meter wide, as well as filters to collect the water and channel it to the filters, but the work was done by the community itself, without the authorization of the mayor’s office or professional advice.
The Mayor’s Office tried to prevent the work, alleging that authorization was not available, but the work was done and some say that the problem was solved, but others have their doubts. Those closest to the place where the collector was made say that now the water stagnates and mosquitoes breed.

Some neighbors said that now an official from the Mayor’s Office named Marvin Hilario threatens to bring them to justice for the work they did with their own resources due to their ineffectiveness.
“What they should have done was solve the problem because it is their responsibility and they never did it despite the claims, we already solved it and that is what is important,” said one of the neighbors.

He stated that people have to contribute something because the city belongs to everyone, however, the fact that the communities can contribute their grain of sand does not mean that they can technically do what they understand, because at the end of the day that infrastructure It will remain for the city and if they do it wrong “it is more expensive for us to repair it.”
