A multidisciplinary team from the Ministry of Health arrived in the remote community of Calovéborita in the northern area of the province of Veraguas, to carry out a comprehensive comprehensive care medical tour that benefited more than 100 people who received free health services.
Reina Velarde, regional director, met with the community health committee to coordinate actions and upcoming visits by the ministry, she also indicated that this community had not received a complete medical tour for more than 10 years.
Among the services that this population received are general medical attention, nutritional evaluation, weight and height, vaccination, dentistry, blood pressure measurement, HIV tests, social work evaluation, delivery of medicines and teaching by promotion and education for the health.
In addition, through the Department of Health Promotion, they carried out workshops and training on health care, healthy lifestyles and disease prevention, additionally they delivered educational material and a personal protection kit.
The Vector Control department made a house-to-house tour, provided teaching and recommendations to prevent Dengue and Malaria, proceeded to nebulize the houses, for its part, the regional department of Drinking Water and Sanitary Works delivered chlorine tablets to be used in the rural aqueduct of the community, in the same way he met with the committee, to offer some recommendations.
