Some 61,000 young people between the ages of 18 and 24 looked for work and did not find it during 2021 and 2022, reveal the most recent figures

Unemployment among the youngest is not an exclusive problem in Uruguay, but it is more serious compared to other Latin American countries. The latest labor monitor prepared by the Center for Development Studies (CED) together with the Buscojobs portal and the Equipos consultancy summarized this situation in the following sentence: “if poverty in Uruguay has the face of a child, unemployment has the face of a young person ”.
