After confirmation of a 15 million donation of euros donated by the government of Spain and the European Unionthe Ministry of Health revealed that it presented a project that will focus on improving the affiliation and care in the health of the migrant population Venezuelan.
This initiative said the Ministry will develop in 27 municipalities, although it will be given higher priority to those areas that have a significant impact of migration, including the AtlanticGuajira, North Santander, Bolivar, Arauca and Bogota.
“The goal of Health sector will be to affiliate 700 thousand migrants in the next two monthswhich requires the collaboration of all sectorsincluding cooperation, Secretaries of Health and EPS. Does not about only to affiliatebut the commitment goes towards maintain future health services for this population. We believe that the benefits of having the migrant population regularized and covered with Health serviceswhich represents a tremendously large impact,” said the health minister, Fernando Ruiz.
This attention will be directed especially to pregnant women, boys and girls, among others. For this it would work together to the Legal Option Corporation and Profamilia so that in 2024 more than 52 thousand migrants are being cared for in Colombia.
