The Minister of Public Works of the Nation, Gabriel Katopodis, together with the Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers, Juan Manzur, presented the Argentina Grande Works Plan in Tucumán, within the framework of which a investment of $90,857 million in infrastructure for the province.
“Today we want to render an account to the people of Tucuman, but also the sharing of a work plan that we come, we are and we will continue to do together between the National and provincial governments,” said Katopodis in the white room of the Casa Provincial Government, Katopodis.
In Tucumán, 90,857 million pesos are being invested, with 314 works and projects, generating 8,513 jobs in construction405% more than what the province received in 2019.
Of those $90,857, $47,765 are earmarked for water works, $24,560 for connectivity and road infrastructure, $13,048 for rural and urban infrastructure and $5,484 for care infrastructure.
“With these works we are preparing a debt with this province punished between 2015 and 2019”, valued the national minister.

The head of Public Works also announced: “We are going to be initiating one of the strategic works for the productive and tourist development of the province, such as the highway of National Route 9, between Santiago del Estero and Tucumán, which will allow these 140 kilometers to become the most important highway in the history of the north of the country very soon”.
Then, Katopodis made reference to what the Nation is doing in terms of public works and listed “more than 5,014 current works, 979 projects, 245,000 jobs and 1,501 local governments reached; Y we are already in a second stage reaching the communes and neighborhood commissions”.
“Currently we have public works in 97% of the municipalities throughout the country,” said the minister, and in terms of jobs (245,000) he stated that “50% has already been reached in construction, since 500,000 is the goal we want to meet in the coming months.”
“All the investments we are making have to do with a work plan that the president (Alberto Fernández) and the chief of staff, Manzur, have asked us for, and it is the possibility of being able to plan Argentina, and that Peronism knows how this country develops and how it industrializes”, he stressed.

In this sense, he maintained: “We are sure that the Argentina Grande plan begins and ends in the face of each neighbor, it is a historic works plan and we are convinced that it is with this government and along this path that Argentina is going go ahead”.
In his turn, Manzur stressed that the interim governor of Tucumán, Osvaldo Jaldo, “has been doing a great job together with Minister Katopodis and his entire team, which has made it possible to carry them out.”
“These are infrastructure projects that we have been waiting for in Tucumán for a long time and that happily are coming to fruition,” he said.
Meanwhile, Jaldo assured that will continue to work together with the Nation “for the people of Tucuman that they are in need of services to improve their quality of life, and that they need these works to start to generate jobs”.
The governor referred to the execution of the works and said: “We aspire to 100% compliance with the times specified in each legal instrument that is formalized to carry out the work.”
