A total of 45 men and women under the command of Civil Protection and Disaster Administration (Pcad) in the state of Lara (Barquisimeto), continue to search, now the border affluents with the state of Yaracuy (San Felipe), after the search for the young man from 16 years old who fell into the La Ruezga stream in Barquisimeto, during the heavy rains that fell on September 27.
The zero point of the search and tracking patterns was at the La Vega bridge in the Unión parish in the Iribarren municipality (Barquisimeto) six days ago, reported Luis Mujica, director of Pcad Lara, assuring this Monday, October 3, that they had articulated efforts together with Yaracuyano officials to continue supervision downstream, in the municipality of Peña (Yaritagua).
He reported that they have already traced the entire course of the La Ruezga creek, the tributaries that are in the Santa Rosa parish in Lara state, heading to the neighboring state.
“The search and tracking patterns throughout the course of the La Ruezga stream, including the lower part of the Santa Rosa parish where the Turbio River and other water systems that flow from the city of Barquisimeto converge,” Mujica specified.

Explaining that linear tracking systems have been implemented, upstream-downstream, with the support of drones that allow the search to be focused on certain spaces that are difficult to access; in addition to the presence of two dog guides.
Like the Pcad Lara officials, firefighters from the Iribarren municipality and the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) are participating.
It should be noted that along with the 16-year-old who is still missing, another 18-year-old succumbed, who was rescued lifeless hours after the torrential downpour.
