He indicated that Senniaf together with the Ministry of Social Development (Mides), have been given the task of looking for alternatives to improve the services that the protection centers or shelters offer.
Under this administration, (since 2019), the National Secretariat for Children, Adolescents and Family (Senniaf), has filed 19 criminal complaints for the alleged commission of a crime to the detriment of children and adolescents who are in protection institutions, as well informed Luis Herrera, director of Articulation for the Integral Protection of said entity.
He indicated that Senniaf together with the Ministry of Social Development (Mides), have been given the task of looking for alternatives to improve the services that the protection centers or shelters offer.
He stressed that a supervision and monitoring process is being carried out in each protection center at the national level. “Since April 2021, this task has been carried out, which is done in the company of other entities and representatives of civil society. So far we have 50% of the protection centers,” he said.
Herrera explained that the first stage of supervision is expected to be completed in August and a second stage will continue until December of this year.
