The US justice system has registered 63 cases against Ismael The May Zambada García and his involvement in 921 cases.

In some cases, the warrants were dismissed, as was the case with the oldest case, which dates back to June 1997 and is located in the court files of an Arizona court. At the time, Magistrate Judge Raymond T. Terlizzi issued the warrant, but the charge was dismissed in March 2021.

In Mexico, there are four arrest warrants against Zambada García for crimes against health and operations with illicit proceeds.

Meanwhile, US authorities have reported that he will be tried on at least 17 charges of drug trafficking and operations with illicit proceeds, although judicial records in that country indicate the existence of 63 cases in which he has been accused and he is mentioned in 921 files.

Among the cases available online is, for example, a 2003 indictment for the seizure of a cocaine shipment. The case was filed in a district court in Columbia, South Carolina, and the warrant was issued by Judge Deborah A. Robinson.

The US justice system requested that the file be sealed (considered confidential) because it presented accusations against Vicente Zambada Niebla, brother of The Maywho appeared as a collaborating witness in the trial of El Chapo .

In 2012, in Texas, within file 3:12-cr-00849, Judge Kathleen Cardone issued an arrest warrant for El Chapo and also against The May.

Also in 2014, a court in South Dakota issued another arrest warrant against The Mayhis son Ismael Zambada Imperial and Ivan Archivaldo Guzman, El Chapitoson of El Chapo.

In court records, Zambada García is mentioned in cases initiated against members of the Beltrán Leyva brothers’ cartel, as occurred in case 1:09-cr-00466, filed in 2009, which included Héctor Beltrán Leyva.
