Before Christmas Eve, Montevideo Gas firefighters and personnel had to attend to a fire that occurred after a gas leak

This December 24, after 7:00 p.m., there was a gas leak and then a fire on public roads in Las Heras and Avenida Italia, informed The Observer the National Directorate of Firefighters (DNB).
The DNB is working on the investigation of the causes of this fact, after which no injuries were recorded.

The incident occurred after a gas leak.
After the gas leak, which was considered “important” by DNB spokesmen, firefighters went to the scene and managed to control the situation, minimizing the flames and lowering the temperature, before Montevideo Gas personnel also arrived, who cut the gas. gas supply, which allowed the fire to be completely extinguished.
The work lasted about two hours, they said.
