The National Deputy for Liberty Advances Victoria Villarruel took over as president of Buenos Aires Democratic Partya group with which the economist Javier Milei seeks to consolidate his presence in the Buenos Aires territory ahead of the 2023 elections.
The libertarian landing in this party took place in a context of internal bids that take place in the libertarian space, which was shaken this week by the confrontation that took place on social networks operator Carlos Kikuchi and Buenos Aires legislator Ramiro Marra.
In this way, Milei seeks to dispute the liberal vote of the national deputy of Avanza Libertad José Luis Espert in the most important electoral district in Argentina.
Villarruel’s assumption of office in the Democratic Party was held last night at the headquarters that the group has in downtown Buenos Aires and although several libertarian leaders of the space attended, the absence of Milei, who is traveling in Mexico, was notable. .
“My dream is that in 2023 there will be many more of us who raise the flags of life, property and freedom,” said the national deputy and lawyer during this inauguration ceremony, according to party sources.
The lawyer who shared the ballot with Milei in the 2021 legislative elections in the City of Buenos Aires, is the founder and president of the civil association called the Center for Legal Studies on Terrorism and its Victims, and proclaims herself a staunch denier of Terrorism of State perpetrated during the ’70s.

The deputy had been questioned by his peers for the constant trips to give lectures and his repeated absences from the sessions of the Lower House and the meetings of parliamentary commissions.
In the seven months of 2022, Milei did not introduce any bills of her own; he did not join any commission; he missed more than half the votes and spoke only once on the floor.
Also present at the rally that took place at the headquarters of the Democratic Party were the National deputy for CABA, Lucía Montenegro, and the deputy of the Libertarian Party, Rebeca Fleitas.

Likewise, he remarked that although “he banked many”, he was not going to let these accusations pass, and he pointed directly at Javier Milei’s political point guard, Carlos Kikuchi.
“Just in case, I clarify that Javier (Milei) and Karina Milei (sister of the economist) are in full contact with me and offered their help for whatever I need. They have nothing to do with the nefarious political practices that Kikuchi has been carrying out for several months with defamation,” said Marra.
According to Télam sources close to La Libertad Avanza, within the party “everyone expects a resignation” by Kikuchi, whose role in the space was criticized by the lawyer Carlos Maslatón, who threatens to confront Milei in a primary to settle the libertarian presidential candidacy with a view to 2023.
