Hernán Bermúdez Requena, today a fugitive from justice and sought by the Interpol accused of being part of the Criminal Group of La Barredora, was the Secretary of Citizen Security and Protection of Tabasco from 2018 to 2024, during the first government of Morena in the State.
For 33 years and by intervals, he had headed security tasks, but was raised as secretary by the then governor of Tabasco, the morenista Adam Augusto López; Today the exponential growth of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel (CJNG) is attributed to the entity and of what was its criminal cell La Barredora, before both groups entered violent dispute.
Bermúdez Requena is located as “Commander H” of the Barredora group already blames the growth of extortion, huachicoleo and drug trafficking, which led some cities of the State to be placed in 2024 among the first places of insecurity nationwide.
However, Bermúdez Requena relationship with organized crime is not new, it was known since 2022, and still remained a year and a half as responsible for state security.
The revelations about their background occurred in October 2022, when the collective known as Guacamaya hacked and leaked millions of documents from the National Defense Secretariat (Sedena).
It was known since more than ten military reports located Bermúdez Requena as a member of the CJNG in the state.
