During the last week, from July 10 to 16, the Ministry of Health, through its epidemiological report, reported this Monday, July 18, that 7,966 new cases of COVID-19 and 9 deaths were registered in Panama.
The report revealed that of the 11,375 cases that remain active, 11,161 remain in home isolation, 18 in hotels, 164 remain hospitalized in the ward, and 32 are in intensive care units.
They detailed that a total of 922,313 people have recovered from COVID-19. It was also reported that the districts with the most Covid-19 cases are: Juan Díaz, San Francisco, Rufina Alfaro, Betania and Ancón.
During this week the Ministry of Health applied 49,572 tests to detect COVID-19, those that showed a positivity is 16.4%.
